The Recruiter’s Perspective!
This week’s session is about The Recruiter’s Perspective. I’m sure we’ve all had experience of Recruiters, whether internal staff within an HR department or external, working on behalf of clients. Love ‘em, or hate ‘em, they’re a vital part of the process and this session will help you navigate through the recruitment process, ideally, pro-actively representing you. After all, it’s in their best interests to do so. The session will be more workshop based, so please have to hand your CV, and if you’ve attended any sessions on CV writing, please also have your STAR based mini-stories to hand. If you’ve not attended the CV writing sessions yet, or are unsure of STAR (or competency-based interviews) then this will help:
Career History / Work experience to include Achievements – STAR method
S– Situation, background set the scene
T – Task or Target, specifics of what’s required, when, where, who
A – Action, what you did, skills used, behaviours, characteristics
R – Result – Outcome, what happened? What difference did you make? What benefit did the customer/your employer gain?
